Dr. Don He is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry and the founder of Children’s Dental Health Centre. He trained at BC Children’s Hospital, works with Alberta Health Services at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, and has treated children in Calgary since 2018.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta.
- Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
- General dentistry in Calgary for several years before specialising
- Specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at British Columbia Children’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia
- Master of Science in Craniofacial Science (MSc) and Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry (Dip. Ped.)
- Worked with the neonatology and otolaryngology departments at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre, studying how ventilatory support influences facial development in preterm infants
Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD(C)). Active member of the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

The vision behind the practice
Dr. He and his team have worked with many children with dental needs. His cheerful and gentle personality helps children feel comfortable and overcome their dental fears. Parents are often anxious about a first dental experience, or because their child needs extensive treatment, so his team makes a point of walking parents through the whole plan.
Dental disease affects far more than teeth. It causes pain, interferes with sleep, affects concentration and attendance at school, influences nutrition and growth, and creates social barriers. That is the reason the practice puts so much weight on prevention and on monitoring facial and dental development early.

Life behind the scenes
Dr. He and his family are committed to giving back, helping individuals and families in Calgary overcome health and social barriers, and taking part in missions abroad. In their spare time they spend it in the mountains and at the lakes, with their dog Chloe.
