What makes this location different
The surgery suite is two doors down, not across the city
When a child needs treatment under general anesthesia, the usual path leads somewhere else entirely: a hospital, or a surgical facility staffed by a team the child has never met. Waits can be long, and the day itself happens among strangers.
Ours is at #127, in this building. The dentist treating your child is the dentist who assessed your child, in a place your child has already been, and the anesthetic is given by a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist.
That matters most if you are driving in from outside the city. Everything can be arranged before you travel, and the whole treatment plan is completed in one session, so there is no run of return trips to make.

Questions
About this location
Where exactly is the South clinic?
We are at #125, 11501 Buffalo Run Boulevard, Tsuut'ina, AB, T3T 0E4. Buffalo Run is on Tsuut'ina Nation just off Tsuut'ina Trail, on the southwest edge of Calgary, and it is easy to reach from Stoney Trail, Glenmore Trail and Highway 22X. There is free parking directly outside.
What are the hours at the South location?
Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. We are closed on Sunday. Our North clinic keeps the same hours.
Is the surgical centre at this location?
Yes. Children's Dental Surgical Centre is at #127 in the same building, two doors from the clinic. It is our own facility, not a hospital slot, every anesthetic is given by a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist, and children go home the same day.
We live outside Calgary. Is it worth the drive?
For a lot of families, yes, and that is a large part of what this location is for. We plan around distance: as much as possible is arranged before you travel, and because treatment at the surgical centre is completed in a single session there is no series of return visits to drive back for. Families come to us from across southern Alberta.
Which dentists work at the South clinic?
All five of our pediatric specialists see patients at both locations. If your child has seen a particular dentist before and you would like to stay with them, tell us when you book.
Do we need a referral to book at the South clinic?
Not necessarily, and it depends what you are coming for. If you are establishing your child as a new patient and joining our comprehensive prevention program, no referral is needed and you can book directly with us. If your child already has a general or family dentist and you are seeking a specialist consultation for a specific concern, we ask that your dentist provide a referral, so we understand the history and the reason for the visit. Either way, your family dentist receives a consultation letter from us afterwards.
Are you open on Saturdays here too?
Yes, 8:00am to 4:30pm, and it is a full clinic day, not emergencies only. Saturdays fill further ahead than weekdays, so it is worth booking those in advance.
